đ A Delicious Culinary Adventure for CE Students
Thanks to Clara Lentillon and Anne Hoarau!
This week, the CE students had the privilege of taking part in an activity that was both educational and delicious! Thanks to the wonderful initiative of Clara Lentillon and Anne Hoarau, our young apprentice chefs put on their aprons and dove into the world of baking.
The culinary workshop introduced the children to various cooking techniques. With bowls, whisks, and other utensils in hand, they learned how to crack eggs, mix ingredients, and prepare fruits. Their bright smiles were a clear sign of their excitement during this rich, sensory experience!
The dayâs tasty task: baking a delicious apple crumble. The children enthusiastically took part in each step of the recipe:
- Peeling and chopping the apples
- Preparing the crumble dough with flour, butter, and sugar
- Assembling everything before baking
The result? Beautiful golden individual crumbles, soft and fragrant, which the children proudly enjoyedâquite literally tasting the fruits of their labor!
This workshop was more than just a dessert-making session. It gave students the opportunity to:
- Develop fine motor skills
- Follow precise instructions
- Work together as a team
- Practice math through measurements and proportions
- Explore science through transformations of ingredients
A heartfelt thank you to Clara Lentillon and Anne Hoarau for this delightful initiative, which brought so much joy to our students. The beaming smiles and visible pride on the childrenâs faces at the end of the workshop said it all. One thing is certain: our CE students wonât forget this delicious culinary adventure anytime soon! đ
