This term we have been talking about lifecycles in the Nursery/Petite Section class We started with the life cycle of a seed and the children planted sunflower seeds in little pots and watched them grow
When the shoots were big enough we transfered them to the school garden. The children have been watering them faithfully everyday and have been astonished to see how much they have grown ! Some of them are now taller than the children! We are hoping that before the term ends we will have some beautiful sunflowers and that we will be able to see the seeds on the flower head, ready to start the process all over agan next Spring. The children have really enjoyed looking for other seeds too…. In their fruit at snack time, on a dandelion head in the garden and everywhere they go !
